Welcome

In 2006, we went with Brice Soniano and Mette Burild to meet the Bakas in the village of Akonetié near Djoum in southern Cameroon. There, with the village chief's permission, we recorded several evenings of music and dance. In 2022, I recorded a solo based on a polyrhythmic circle combining the numbers 3, 5, and 7. While listening to this recording, the idea came to me to hear the Bakas at certain points, imagining a conversation and connection with them that transcends time and space. This piece aims to pay tribute to this people whose mystical knowledge is both fragile and instructive treasures.
